Pacific Blue Ice Hens and Chicks is a mat-forming evergreen succulent that grows in rosettes of dusky blue round pointed foliage that flushes with pink as the weather cools. The mother rosset(hen) spreads out with horizontal stems to seed offsets (chicks). Infrequently in summer a short stalk rises from the hen sporting clusters of pink flowers. The hen dies after flowering, giving space for the chicks to grow. Best color with full sun and dry to medium well-drained soils. Drought and heat tolerant once established.
