Lemon Waves Hens and Chicks is a small succulent that forms symmetrical blue-green rosettes with red accents on its elongated and slightly waved pointed fleshy foliage, which flushes a colorful blend of bright green, lemon, and burgundy as the weather cools. Lovely pink star shaped flowers go up in summer if it flowers. Like other sempervivums, it forms tight rosettes of succulent leaves and produces offsets (the "chicks") around the main rosette (the "hen").
