Carolina Lupine is an upright clump-forming native herbaceous perennial with grey-green foliage. Racemen of yellow lupine-like flowers bloom in summer and are followed by hairy seedpods.  Grows best in full sun and dry to medium well-drained soil.  Drought tolerant.
