Carolina Rose is a native deciduous shrub that forms a thicket of dark green foliage that turns yellow in fall. The single pink flowers that bloom in mid spring.  Edible rose hips mature in fall and winter. Best grown in full sun and rich, moist, slightly acidic well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS:  Medium Maintenance. Roses are susceptible to powdery mildew, black spot, rust, and rose rosette and require regular fungicide in humid areas that experience a lot of rainfall.  Pest issues include aphids, borers, scale, mites thrips, midges, and leafhoppers.
