The Blue Rabbit Larch is a striking, fast-growing deciduous conifer prized for its brilliant, soft, silvery-blue needles and upright, conical growth habit.
- An excellent specimen tree that drops its needles in winter, but only after shifting to a vibrant coppery-gold in the fall.
- Foliage: The needles are exceptionally bright steel-blue, soft to the touch, and densely arranged on somewhat horizontal branches.
- Size: Grows to about 15 to 25 feet tall and 10 feet wide, though it can eventually reach closer to 30 feet in ideal conditions. It is highly manageable compared to standard larch species.
- Sunlight: Requires full sun to maintain its vivid coloration.
- Soil: Prefers moist, slightly acidic, and well-drained soil.
- Hardiness: USDA Zones 4–7, making it well-suited to the New England climate
