Freckle Face Blackberry Lily is a long flowering deciduous perennial with long sword-like deep blue-green foliage that fans upwards. The sturdy central stalks are topped by large bright orange lily-like flowers speckled with darker orange from mid to late summer, attracting bees. Its blackberry like seed pods are persistant in winter and can provide interest. Flowers best in full sun and rich, slightly acidic, moist well-drained soils.
Also sold as Iris domestica.
